ZaZaZa

ZaZaZa was conceived as a part of a minor in business management.

I went on this venture together with two business students, as I was the odd one out, being the animation student, I had an overflow of ideas and aspirations that my teammates where kind enough to humor.

I had long desired to familiarize myself with fabric printing and saw this an opportune moment to do so.
I spent several weeks working at the printing workshop at my school, learning about different methods of printing and figuring out what would be the most financially and sustainably viable for our product line.

I had proposed a product line of clothing using upcycled clothing from secondhand stores. I made a small MVP to prove my concept to my teammates. They liked the idea but did market research and found that we were much more likely to sell new t-shirts. I then arranged a partnership together with Ledger Des Heils in Rotterdam. Where we would be able to buy new, 100% recycled shirts in bulk. While also getting a venue to sell the first run of our product.

During my development of our product, I made a lot of new contacts with illustrators, I hired three of these individuals to would make the design for our first line of product, together with my own designs.
